Cox / Polycom Phone Tips 

  • Missed calls - This number is not very usefulIf you have 4 phones in a hunt group and one of the phones answers, the other 3 will show this as a missed call.   

  • Clear missed calls press the down arrow on the navigation disk.    

  • There is no longer a "Message light" when 5-digit dialing someoneIf there is no answer it will go to their voice mail.   

  • Careful putting someone on holdPeople on hold will not ring back to your phone. If you forget they can stay on hold indefinably.  

  • The handset does not sit well on the cradleThere is a reversable peg that may be sticking up and if you do not notice may not really hang up your phoneThis peg can be flipped to make the handset easier to hang up.

(To get to settings click your initials in the top left corner.) 

  • "Audio - Ringers and alerts" - Decrease the volume of the ringer. 

  • "Notifications - Calls - Direct calls" - Set to Only mute notification when I'm in a meeting or on a call
