Managing Junk email folder - Darktrace Email Security

Darktrace is our new email security system.  It interacts directly with Microsoft Exchange and will instruct Exchange to move span message to your Junk Email folder.  Unlike Mimecast, there is no need to login to a different system to see your spam messages.  You will need to get in a habit of checking your Junk email folder of a regular basis. If an email is marked as junk in error, you can train Darktrace and Exchange to not treat the email as junk in the future.
  1. Find the email you need in your "Junk Email" folder.
  2. Right click the email
  3. Select "Report > Not junk"
  4. This will move the message to your Inbox.

  1. If there are multiple emails from this sender in your Junk Email folder, you will need to do this for each email.  This process will only act on future emails you receive.
  2. Once your Junk Email folder is clean you can empty the entire folder by Richt clicking on the folder and selecting Empty.

  1. You can also report an inbox email as Junk.
    1. Right click the email in your inbox.
    2. You can choose between Phishing or Junk.

    1. This will move the message to your Junk Email folder and send all future email from this sender to Junk.
