Native mail app on your Apple device 

To setup a connection to our email server you cannot be on a Woodhouse Guest or WHPrivate Wi-Fi network.  Please turn off Wi-Fi before starting to setup your phone. 

 

  • Go to Setting – Mail - Accounts and click “Add Account”. 

 

  • Select “Microsoft Exchange” - Enter your Woodhouse.com email address and enter a Description. 

 

  • Click “Sign In”.  If asked, enter your password. 

 

  • Next, you will be prompted to select what you would like to synchronize to your phone / tablet. 

  • Contacts will allow your phone to name resolve phone numbers to names in your text messages, recent calls, and caller ID. 

 

  • If you are asked what to do with “Existing Local Contacts”. Select “Keep on my iPhone” unless you are sure the only contacts you will need are in your Woodhouse.com email account.  By turning “Contact” to Green you will get all contact you have entered in your Woodhouse.com mailbox. 

  • Click “Save”. 

 

  • Once the account is on your phone, you can click the account to make changes to what parts of your mailbox to synchronize.  You can also determine How many days to synchronize to your phone. 

 

  • Next you will need to create a signature and decide what mail account will be your default when you send from your phone. 

  • Go back to “Settings - Mail” scroll to the bottom and select “Default Account”.  Select the account you want to be your default for sending new messages. 

 

  • The “Signature” setting is above the Default Account setting.  Open the “Signature” and decide how you want your mail accounts to sign your email.  If you have multiple accounts you may want to use the “Per Account” option.  If you only have Woodhouse email you may want “All Accounts” 

  • Find your Woodhouse account.  Select it and remove the default “Sent from my iPhone and replace it with a Woodhouse approved signature. 

 

  • Tip: find an email with your approved signature in your sent items and copy and paste it into this screen.  Click “Mail” to return to the setting. 

 

  • You will also need to set your default “Contact” and “Calendar”.  This is done in the same way you set your default “Mail” account. 

  • From withing “Setting” Click “Contact” and select what mailbox will be the default contacts. 

 

  • Repeat this for Calendar, Notes, and Reminders. 

  • New Calendar appointment create on your phone will be created in your default Calendar.
