OneDrive application
OneDrive has an application install on your computer. It can also be downloaded from the App Store one your smartphone. The icon on your system tray will open the On-Line and Windows Explorer versions of OneDrive.
When you install OneDrive on your smartphone you can access and edit your files mobile. This requires at least an F3 license and is not available for email only users. When you access files mobile your will be required to login using Multi-Factor Authentication. You will receive a text message with a code to enter prior to access the application.
The OneDrive application on a smartphone is the best way to get photos from your phone to your computer. As stated before, do not save files to the root of One drive. Once you open the app select the “Documents” folder.
From inside the Documents folder, you can select an existing folder or create a new folder. To create a new folder, click the “+” in the top right corner
While in your new folder press the “Camera” icon to take a photo. You can swipe to select “Document, Whiteboard, Business Card, or Photo”. OneDrive will automatically format the document based on your selection.
You can also use the “+” in the top right corner to upload files and photo already on your smart phone. With this feature you no longer need to connect your phone with a USB cable to get photos to your computer.
