When you have an active call on your desk phone, you can transfer it to an extension by selecting the "Transfer" option, then entering in the extension you would like to transfer the call to. After you have entered the extension in you can hang up the phone to complete a "Cold Transfer", or remain on the line to do a "Warm Transfer".
You can find any employee or department extension by going into your GoTo Application and selecting the "Contacts" icon on the right side. It will be defaulted to search through "All Contacts" which includes individual employee extensions as well as group dial plans.
-The term "Hunt Group" no longer exists with GoTo, the new term is "Dial Plan", each department is assigned a Dial Plan also known as "DP".
In the "Search contact" field, type the person's name or department you would like to transfer to.
-If you want to transfer to a department: search the store name followed by "Salesperson", "Service", or "Parts" (or other such as "Admin Titles") DP.
-For example: "Chevy Omaha Salesperson DP" is the contact/extension for Chevy Omaha salespeople, "Nissan WP Service DP" is the contact/extension for Nissan WP service team, etc.
